Long earlier than Drake put it on the cowl of his album Views, the CN Tower was once viewed one of the most iconic landmarks in Toronto. Opened in 1976, the 553-metre telecommunications tower was once constructed by means of – and named after – Canadian National Railways. Designed by way of WZMH Architects, John Hamilton Andrews, Webb Zerafa and Menkes Houseden, with the assist of ER Baldwin, the tower grew to be the world’s tallest freestanding shape upon completion and held this title till 2010.
